This notice explains how Arunkumar Ramasamy & Associates (“the firm”) handles personal data received through this website, in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. The firm is the Data Fiduciary for that data.
What is collected
- From the enquiry form: name, email, phone (if given), the type of person or entity, the matter and the message.
- From email, phone or WhatsApp: whatever you choose to send.
The website sets no cookies and runs no advertising trackers. It runs no analytics. Typefaces are served from this website itself. Calculator entries and calendar preferences stay in your browser and are never sent to the firm.
Why it is used
Only to read and reply to your enquiry and, if you decide to engage the firm, to prepare the engagement. It is processed on the basis of the consent you give when sending the enquiry.
Who else handles it
- The email provider that hosts the firm's mailbox.
- WhatsApp (Meta), if you choose to write on WhatsApp.
- Authorities, where the law requires disclosure.
The firm does not sell or rent personal data.
How long it is kept
Enquiry data is kept for 24 months from the last correspondence, unless the enquiry becomes an engagement. Records of engagements are kept for the periods required by law and by ICAI, under the engagement letter.
Your rights
You may ask for a summary of the personal data the firm holds about you, ask for it to be corrected, completed or erased, withdraw your consent, and nominate another person to exercise these rights. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything done before the withdrawal.

Client files
Documents for engagements are not collected through this website. They are handled under the engagement letter and the firm's duty of confidentiality.
